Waste & Resource Management

Waste and resource management activities are becoming recognised as a priority for today’s society with an increasing focus on the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The economic value of diverting waste away from landfill has been recognised by the Government as an important approach for improving environmental and economic outcomes, with a target for the whole of the UK to recycle 50% of household waste by 2020.

WAMITAB offers a range of qualifications, apprenticeships, training programmes, routes to industry employability programmes and resources to those working within, or retraining to work within the waste and resource management sector, including:

  • Waste Management Qualifications
  • Recycling Qualifications
  • Anaerobic Digestion Qualifications
  • Health and Safety course (DASH Training Programme – specifically for waste industry)
