Parking
The parking profession is essential to support the sustainable growth of the UK economy by providing the parking management services required on both local authority and private land to meet the demand of parking over 34.5 million licensed vehicles. WAMITAB has worked with the British Parking Association (BPA) to develop two nationally accredited, independently regulated qualifications designed to ensure that individuals will be able to demonstrate competence irrespective of whether they are working under the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 or the Approved Operator Scheme Code of Practice.
These qualifications aid the BPA’s mission to make parking a recognised profession and show the public that regulation and high standards are at the top of the agenda. The framework for these qualifications was developed to meet the needs of the industry, as agreed by employers and consumer groups. BPA professional parking qualifications can be used throughout Europe as part of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The qualifications available are:
- WAMITAB Level 2 Award for Parking Enforcement Officers
- WAMITAB Level 3 Award in Notice Processing
